Non-Violent Communication

Non-violent Communication (NVC) is a communication method based on the principle of ahimsa—non-harming, non-violence—that aims to increase understanding and empathy, and promote cooperative solutions. NVC is based on the principles of humanistic psychology and nonviolence, and was created by psychologist Marshall Rosenberg.  Dr. Rosenberg believed that we can all get our needs met and live more wonderfully if we can communicate from the heart, from alive-ness versus using unconscious habitual speech patterns that are ‘life-alienating.’

NVC training with me begins with the basic skills underlying use of Marshall Rosenberg’s 4-part process. I offer trainings throughout the year in small groups, as well as in individual or couples’ sessions.

**Note that there is no participation with insurance companies, all sessions are private pay. Needs-based sliding scale may be possible, please inquire.

Sessions offered worldwide, online;  some space available for in-person sessions, please inquire if this is your preference.
